Junior Vu Giang shoots a new movie with fellow cinematography club members during lunch.

Led by junior Vu Giang, the newly-formed Cinematography Club serves to offer students interested in film, photography, acting, writing and editing a place to hone their craft.

“This year we will be competing in the Great Computer Challenge for video editing and the VHSL Film Festival,” said Vu. “I just hope to share the knowledge of film and let people know what it’s all about.”

The club meets in room 143 and plans on premiering their first film at their debut meeting. Aside from competing in film festivals and contests, they plan on promoting other clubs via short videos to gain experience and advertise.

“Any film should aim to make the world a better place, but what’s really fun is when I get to do that with friends and other people,” said Vu.
