As seniors approach graduation, they have much to do to pack and back up four years of high school. Administration advises all seniors or transfer students to use Google Takeout or Google Transfer.
According to instructional technology specialist Meri Riddick, Google Takeout will export and download a students’ specific files as a zip file on a flash drive or other storage device whereas Google Transfer will move designated files and Google Sites from one’s Google Drive and Gmail to another personal Google account.
Students have until June 12 to take advantage of this opportunity, and they are encouraged to visit the student tech site to get started on this process. According to Riddick, students can reach out to the Pod Squad in Room 101 for assistance.
“If students want any chance of referencing anything they worked on in school, this is their only shot,” Riddick said. “Students are in control of what they do and don’t take with them after high school.”
