Students prepare for annual Mr. OL pageant

Mr. OL hopes to deliver The Greatest Showman with two main choreographed dances, one contestant escort, and one contestant.

“Mr. OL is an annual male pageant that features some of the most spirited and talented individuals we have at our school. The night of the event will feature dances, sportsmanship portions, talent portions, and more,” said senior SCA treasurer John Wong.

Contestants and escorts practice to show why they should be crowned Mr. OL 2019 and will face three judges the night of their performances. 

“I’m excited to get more involved with my school in a fun and exciting way,” said junior contestant Lucas Bushey.

It will be held on April 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Mr. OL is regarded by some as a very unique event in comparison to other school events. .

“ Mr. OL is important because it brings our school community together and allows us to celebrate the dolphin way through cheering on the contestants and escorts,” said John.
