Freshman Charley Snellinger and Senior Leila Snellinger at Tallwood High School on Dec. 12, 2022 for their first meet of the season.

This year’s gymnastics team started to practice back in November in hopes to stay undefeated for the seventh year in a row.

In fact, they have practiced a total of 11 hours a week since Nov. 16, 2022, which does not include the extra hours in the gym for some.

P.E. teacher Jennifer Ramey returns as coach, winning their first meet of the season on Dec. 12, 2022, with a team score of 139.00. The girls outperformed both Tallwood and Princess Anne at Tallwood High School.

“Each day has been a progression towards full routines on each event to prepare for the season,” said Ramey.

On Dec. 15, 2022, they won their second meet of the season with a score of 140.00 at ocean lakes. Their next meet will be held on Jan. 9, 2023, at Ocean Lakes.
