As snow falls, her vocals call to ¨make [her] wish come true.¨

Mariah Carey has a voice people have been obsessed with for years, with her extraordinary whistle notes and her five-octave vocal range, according to ClassicFm.com.

“I love Mariah Carey, I might be a super fan,” said assistant principal Jessica Pagan.

Her career took off at the age of 17 when she released her first demo tape, “Vision of Love,” which got picked up by Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola, who signed her in 1988.

Since then, 18 of her 19 co-written or personal songs have been number one on the “Billboard Hot 100.” Carey holds the record for most weeks spent at the number-one spot on the charts, with 77 weeks in total, according to songhall.org.

“You can listen to her when you are sad or in love because she crosses so many genres,” said Pagan.

Carey is most known for her Christmas classic, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which was played 11.7 million times in 2020, according to ncbphiladelphia.com.

“My fans have made all my career moments special for me,” said Mariah.”They are the ones who have gotten me through every single thing, good times and bad, they are who I go to and lean on. I am very thankful for that.”
