Girls basketball is in mid-season form and has blown past competition with a 12-3 conference record. The team is led by captains Kyla Mcmakin who leads the state with 17 points per game and Kendle Dalrymple who is third in the state with 15.8 points per game.

“We are extremely excited with the progress we have made in the past few weeks and hope to make it far in regional play,” said junior guard Grace Spade.

The girls team holds the first place spot in the Beach District.  According to freshman Anna Rephelz, much credit is given to head coach Hershel Mack, who led the team to regionals last year and has maintained a strong start this year.

The girls defeated school rival, Kellam Knights, Tuesday 46-41, and harnessed the lions on Wednesday, Jan. 24, where senior Sam Simmons scored the last two points of the game, leaving the final score of 53-36.

According to 757Teamz, junior Kendle Dalrymple had a game-high 22 points, 6 assists and 4 steals.
